Meet Sora: OpenAI's Text to Video Model | All Examples
The most life-like AI video generation to date.
OpenAI has released its brand new text-to-video generation model under the name SORA.
It is safe to say that the horror that was Will Smith eating spaghetti is now behind us. This video was released on April 1st, 2023.
Before you read any further, I put all the videos from OpenAI’s website together in one place with their prompts. Take a peek at this first.
So, what is it exactly?
The AI model known as Sora, developed by OpenAI, represents a significant advancement in artificial intelligence. Drawing upon prior research in DALL·E and GPT models, Sora exhibits remarkable capabilities in generating videos based on textual instructions.

Sora's versatility is further demonstrated by its capacity to generate complete videos in a single instance or extend the length of pre-existing videos. Sora can produce videos up to one minute, which I’m sure is to maintain accuracy to the initial prompt and high visual quality throughout the video.
Can I use it?
OpenAI seems to be taking this release more seriously than its other releases. Currently, only a select few security red teamers and creative professionals have their hands on it. It’s unclear if this will be released under the ChatGPT Plus subscription or as an additional service.
