The Power of Micro-Habits: Small Changes for a Major Impact to your Productivity 🚀
We all tend to search for those major, life-changing hacks that promise to transform our lives, right?
Well, it turns out that the real key to success lies in the tiny, everyday tweaks known as micro-habits.
Let's get started! 🌟😊
Examples of Micro Habits 🚀
Here are some of my personal favorites that help me:
Two-minute rule: If a task takes less than two minutes to complete, do it immediately. This helps reduce procrastination and ensures that small tasks don't pile up.
Pomodoro Technique: Break your work into focused 25-minute intervals, followed by a short break. This method helps maintain focus and prevents burnout.
Gratitude journaling: Take a few minutes each day to write down three things you're grateful for. This practice promotes positivity and mindfulness.
The Science Behind Micro Habits 🧠
Micro-habits are truly remarkable because they take advantage of our brain's innate ability to form habits through repetition.
By consistently executing small actions, we fortify our neural pathways, making the habit feel like second nature over time.
Succeeding in maintaining micro-habits creates a positive feedback loop, motivating us to engage in other productive behaviors.
It's a win-win for our productivity and well-being!
Getting Started
To begin incorporating micro-habits into your life, choose one or two habits that align with your goals, and commit to practicing them daily.
Over time, you'll likely notice improvements in productivity and well-being, and you'll be inspired to continue incorporating additional micro-habits into your daily routine
Tracking of Micro Habits
It wouldn’t be a tech producivity newsletter if I didn’t provide you a few apps to help you start!
Habitica
I love when apps make games out of things that aren’t games. It provides an extra boost and incentive for my learning.
Streaks
The pressure of maintaining a streak will help you turn unfamiliar daily occurrences into tasks done by muscle memory. Streaks help you keep track of those!
Tally
A simple, all around habit tracking app that allows you to add many habits. Super straight forward and easy to use all-around habit tracker

Midjourney released Version 5.1 and it has produced some incredible images that blew my mind. The world is changing right before our eyes. See some examples of the new generations below
V5.1 is now available! Images are more coherent, sharp, and beautiful. It's easier to use and should respond more precisely to instructions. We've also added a "RAW" mode for expert users to reduce the 'opinionatedness' of our model and give you more creative control.

Playing with cats 😻
I’m using MidJourney 5.1 to generate “perfect cats” sitting in the sun. The environmental control is really good in this version.

My Dinner with an Executive Team of a $600M Company.
To start, here is what I changed about myself after this dinner:
I need to work in new environments, talk to new people, and try new things to keep my ideas fresh and my thinking strategical. I realized many shortcomings in my own business during my time away.
Now the personality and habits of these high performing individuals:
Tackling the big fish:
They were remarkable at pinpointing and addressing the most pressing issues in their businesses. They steered clear of minor distractions that only provided a false sense of productivity.
I brought up a few issues and ideas and within a few minutes of conversation we had identified issues within the issues and prioritized what was needed around that.
Shared Success
Executives get a bad reputation for not caring about the workers at the bottom. That was the exact opposite of my experience at this dinner.
They also discussed and celebrated the wins of others on the team and recognized the success with other teams.
Operational Perfection
Even though all of these individuals had already completed a full day at work. The dinner consisted of topics like talent retention, promoting missions and values, communications of certain topics, and strategy.
When dessert arrived, so did some local clients. Every executive sprang into action and had small-talk with everyone. No one was excluded, even me who’s role wasn’t relevant to any of the clients. Family updates, market updates, team updates, communication updates rang out around the private dining area we were in. It was like a bunch of old friends got together and were sharing what was working and what they needed from each other. This conversation continued past 10pm when I left
These habits and personalities show me that to them, their title and role isn’t a job.
Solving problems, becoming the best in the industry, expansion, growth. These are things they all live and breathe which is why the entire time it felt natural and never forced.
Hope that was interesting/helpful/intriguing to you all.
